Does anybody here have any info about the plans for the Archive Series? Which gigs are planned to be released this year? Will any of the reunion gigs be released? Are there any slight chance at all that this Archive Series also will include older gigs (from the Seventies) in the future, or will it only be gigs recorded by ”Live Here And Now”?

Anything prior to that is in Universals ownership. There are old shows coming, but we don't know when... yet. Something has already been remixed and mastered, just waiting for the greenlight

That was exactly my question too! I felt my pulse going up and my heart beating faster when I read what Quoincidence wrote, let’s hope for some old stuff to be released!

Trust me, it's something to look forward to and everyone will need to buy it if they want anything else from their back-catalogue remixing... if Universal don't see any profit, they won't bother again! It has been left in good hands, and it sounds superb! Much better than what earMUSIC are doing with the LiveHereNow recordings, mixing Rick and Francis down the wrong stereo channels.

Best news in a long long time!! I’ll buy as many copies as possible (all formats of course, if there will different formats)

I wonder if anyone makes any profit out of these things. They really are aimed at the collector. Only good promotion and marketing will make for enough sales to cover costs I'd have thought.
But this is interesting news. And if we're talking about shows not previously released, the interest will certainly be greater.
As for these Archive Series, presumably they only cover from 2008 which is when the first Live Here Now gig was released. Anything prior like, say, a gig from the Heavy Traffic tour probably won't see the light of day.
Although I'm just speculating. You just never know.

Now I don't know if I'm more nervous about the show in Madrid or this thing, box or whatever. EVEN NOT KNOWING WHAT'S INSIDE! Also I like your words. I hope it is a better box than the BBC box. I remember being excited and then, when I see that Rossi's banter was missing from every show (except the Paris Theatre)...I didn't want to heard it again.

I don't think there are any other live recordings from the Heavy Traffic tour besides the Heitere open-air festival.

The four gigs recorded 1975 for the ep would be heaven! And the Hammersmith 1979 gig too! And yes, all three Glasgow -76 and the complete Tokyo Quo. I’m drooling already!

I don't want to burst your bubble, but we think the 1975 live recordings no longer exist. It's a possibility that the Glasgow and Tokyo Quo recordings re-used those reels, as they weren't virgin tapes, and when what was dumped on them stops, they go back to what was originally on them. All that there is left, unreleased, from those 4 shows is Big Fat Mama and Roadhouse Blues from Stoke. There are 2 reels that are made out to be monitor mixes of both Kursaal and Stoke, but they're just Stoke reels with the same track snippets on them and full Roadhouse.

I could understand reusing the tapes for Glasgow, but for Tokyo? It was more cheaper ship the tapes from UK to Japan rather than using tapes from Japan? Also, all the Tokyo Quo was produced in Japan (I mean, was recorded and produced by a japanese producer, wasn't it?), the tapes would stay in Japan all these years I suppose.
