Played during the encore jam, prior to Bye Bye Johnny. This audio comes from a DAT soundboard recording.
Enjoy!

Beautiful sounding.
Although I’m not sure andys electric harpsichord sound adds much.

Can I be the only one that thinks it lacks balls, swagger and depth when compared to the reunion tour versions? And that's without comparing the voices of Rick and Alan.

Like all live versions since 1976, including the reunion tour, what it lacks is the long intro. Renditions since then have stayed faithful to the original recorded version which isn't a patch on what they did with the song in the 70's.
Don't get me wrong, this is good enough. Very listenable. And the sound is excellent. But Junior's Wailing now and in 1989 will always pale in comparison to their 70's live pomp.
You couldn't start a gig better.

I quite like this version, wish it would get a release, but it won't.
