Ok, I'll be the first to state the obvious ..... we ALL reacted like this when we played Down Down in our bedrooms for the first time. Some even more manic than that. Shame we never had our own video recorder or smart phone back then.

Fcuk me, that is quite funny. Yes, I think that reaction was like most of us were like when we first heard it. But if he was like that to Down Down, what on earth would he be like when he hears Roll Over Lay Down or Big Fat Mama?

The guy is nuts, but that's exactly how hearing classic Quo should make you feel.

I did not react like that when I first heard Down Down. Or Paper Plane. Or Roll Over. Or um (thinks, what else.) I cannot remember how I reacted to all those very excellent works when I first heard them. I probably heard them first on the radio while shovelling down my breakfast to get to school.
But I DID react like that to Proposin'. I heard it first on the radio (same radio) while shovelling down my breakfast to get off to work. Train to catch. I would have danced around the kitchen table if I had a kitchen table.
I'm sure I caught the train. Bought the single in the lunch hour. It's not like Proposin' is my absolute favourite Quo song, but it will always have a special place in my heart because of that.

I can't remember the first time I heard Down Down, but it was before I was a 'proper' Quo fan. It was probably on the bumper cars when I was a kid in the 1970s (they always seemed to have Quo pumping out of some mega sound system at fairgrounds back then!).
It funny seeing someone listening to it for the first time. From the opening bars to the first guitar breakdown, the song soars higher and higher and you wonder where its taking you.
Superb! Another one that makes you drive too fast...

Boy, does this guy like the Frantic Four... Think he gets his inspiration from Jack Black’s School of Rock! Very funny stuff👍 Down Down (esp. OTL version) still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it - unrestrained joy🤘 Yeah, like we’ve all felt - THIS is Quo👍 (actually I hope he does more, I’d love to see his reactions to Slow Train and 4500x - I’m betting his head explodes! 🤪)
