Released on this day in 1977, an album that to me is timeless and never dates. Unique sounding and OTT, with some absolutely belting songs.

An album that to me is timeless but, nevertheless, total bollox Actually, joking apart, it's an album I have never liked. Probably a bit too Wagnerian for me I remember seeing a video for the title track on the Old Grey Whistle Test, which was the first time I'd even heard of dear old Loaf. Wasn't keen then and it actually got worse with all those dreadful 'power ballads'. And don't get me started on Dead Ringer! Grim Eh, no, not a fan. Can you guess? But each to their own 👍 He did become immensely and globally popular, which shows how much I know.

Remember all the denim jackets with Maiden, Quo, Priest, AC/DC, Saxon.......and Meat Loaf!

I don't mind it when I hear it, but never an album I had any desire to own

It was a case of well over cooked Meatloaf at this Aussie Rules Grand Final appearance a few years back.

It was a case of well over cooked Meatloaf at this Aussie Rules Grand Final appearance a few years back. I could only stand 30 seconds of that! Didn't he got beaten up in Fight Club?
