I believe Lemmy joined the band on stage during the encore at Hammy in 1986? Do any recordings exist, or can anyone who was there tell me what happened that night? Thanks

A recording exists but I was told Lemmy's bass wasn't plugged in, not sure if that's true or not.

Thanks Lemmy, Bob Young, and Kenny Lynch joined the band on-stage during Bye Bye Johnny. Only an audience audio recording exists of the show I think they only came on to join in with the singing. Bob came on towards the end and played some harmonica.

PS When you say 'Kenny Lynch', do you mean the variety performer?

PS When you say 'Kenny Lynch', do you mean the variety performer? No, 'Wee' Kenny Lynch the janitor at the Hammy Odeon 1947 - 1995. Brown warehouse coat, bunnet, bulbous nose, often carrying a bucket of sawdust, hard to miss.

I was there. As I remember it they gave Lemmy an acoustic guitar! And yeah, Kenny Lynch. From the sublime to the ridiculous!

I was there as well. Bloody early start as well, 7.30pm ish if I recall. We were in the Britannia pub opposite full of Quo fans, and the bell was rung to tell us that the band were about to come onstage. We couldn't believe it, as it wasn't advertised as an early start. We quickly downed our pints then made a quick rush to the gig. For many it was their first time seeing Quo without dear Nuff. I can concur that indeed Kenny Lynch and Lemmy appeared onstage towards the end and that Lemmys guitar was not plugged in. I have unfortunately never seen a clip or even a photo from this occasion.

I was also there! A great Christmas Eve but yes very different without John and Alan. I remember Lemmy and Kenny making an appearance at the end but I didn’t notice Lemmy’s guitar not being plugged in!
