Good to see that again. He gives perfectly valid reasons for not continuing with trying to break the USA. ... that awful experience of doing a great gig (3rd on bill) as a support act but the headliners pushing them back down the bill (to 5th spot) says a lot. Plus the expense of touring how they wanted to. And then he ends the clip by saying it was probably a mistake not to do it! Oh Francis, it was fine... it worked. I've also heard that airplay on radio stations was very important to cracking the US too. Not sure they got much of that either.

I wish they would re-release the Hello Quo! Blu-ray as a special edition with all the extra interviews that are now on youtube.

Cutting the last half hour and inserting more of this would make it a far better film. I don’t think anyone outside of the band gives a flying fuck about coronation street

I heard the Rockonteurs interview with Francis yesterday and they asked why didn't they go over on a package tour when POMM was a hit?
That helped the Who, Herman's Hermits and others with varying levels of success - may have been a good thing though as they may not have had the flexibility then to change their sound.
