The recording of RAOTW is fucking brilliant IMO. Its just so overplayed now. Same with Wonderwall or Billie Jean...
What puzzles me though, down through various interviews, Alan always listed RAOTW as one of his favourites, along with Accident Prone. Maybe he was lying. Who knows?
Actually, I take that back about Billie Jean. It's a phenomenal song that never actually gets old

If I remember correctly, I recall Alan saying some time after the event that he thought that the Rockin' All Over The World Tour was the one that should have been recorded & released as a live album. Which would have been fine by me as another live release, but I'm glad we had Live! when we did - it seemed to mark the end of an era in some way, for me.

The re-recording of RAOTW in 1988 was the best recording - Running in this country but with the original lyric for America. Much fuller sound.
