I really liked that TOTP special. There were blistering versions of Rain and (I think) Roll Over Lay Down. The programme sticks in my memory because I wondered who the drummer was! I didn't know Jeff had left This was before I had even dial-up internet, never mind broadband. I think I was aware of Paul Hirsh being in the band because I first saw him at a gig in Gelsenkirchen that year and wondered what was going on. That was in June 2000. I'm not sure what month that TOTP thing went out. All these personnel changes helped deflect from the current album ( Famous in the Last Century) and the TOTP prog showed me they were still the band I loved

I don't remember Mony Mony being played but maybe I blanked it from my memory The version of Rain pitched up on a "Readers Digest" compilation I bought called The Ultimate Collection from the early 2000's. I'm not sure I've seen that released anywhere else.
