Yeah, I saw an advert for that. Apart from Rockin' and half a dozen Creedence songs, I don't really know much of his stuff. He's not coming this far north anyway. The lightweight

We took our cultural barriers down when HM Nicola the First stepped down. No point now And we don't have language. Its more a sort of gutteral method of communication. We get by

I just looked at the first ticket site I came to and it only listed Manchester and London. Well, good on him. He'll need a jacket though

We get by Not an expert on Scottish politics but the new candidates seem lightweight compared to Sturgeon and Salmond...and..Gordon Brown, John Reid and the possibly great John Smith. I liked Salmond a great deal.

I liked Salmond a great deal. The whole nationalist movement has lost momentum because of individual political self interest. And the SNP have begun to resemble any other political party where personal ambitions override everything else. The party were gunning for Nicola Sturgeon, and she knew it. She's not daft, so she walked before the in-fighting became like a Conservative cabinet re-shuffle. The 3 candidates are, as you say, lightweights by comparison. One of them in particular is far too divisive to be a First Minister. Hopefully, she has no chance. Labour will make inroads and capitalise on this, although the Tories will remain generally despised except by the landed gentry and the odd country seat. Meanwhile, I'm moving to Spain. Europe. The real world

The real world Knowing your Scotsman's luck you'd end up in a house with a bedroom in the Basque separatist camp and the bog was with the other mob. Scot's and hot climates? Darién comes to mind. Any chance of a quick reason why with reference to Sturgeon's leaving.

Why I'm going to Spain or why Wee Nick walked? Mrs Mortified has had a house in Spain since she was about 21 or so. She bought it outright with equestrian winnings apparently. I think she must have been very good! Her mum lived in it for 30 years before she had to be placed in care. So we're doing it up - very slowly. As for Nicola, I don't really know why the party turned on her, internally at any rate. But they will now regret it. She held the party, government and country together. But she wasn't afraid to stick a digit in the air and say, go on then; let's see how you manage. I admire her even more for telling them they can basically take their ambitions and pi$$ off into obscurity taking the nation with them. The opposition parties down South must be rubbing their hands with glee
