For me JCQ , now Quo connection are the new Quo. Would love to hear the album they are supposed to be recording and if there is any news on how that is progressing. [br What a coup it would be if they could finish the PLC songs... |

There are no PLC songs....if there were they would have been out and about years ago....what I’m interested in is John’s new band and the jazzy versions of the old stuff. Hope that gets onto a cd soon...and....if you want a new Quo....start one....and yes it is that easy. It’s how all bands start, what you do is.....start.

To me, ‘shuffle’ is what the drummer does that sets the pace and feel of the tune, ‘Boogie’ is what the whole band does with the shuffle (or any other similar up-tempo rhythm) DWMT has a shuffle and the whole thing boogies nicely! 👍 |

I was thinking about this tonight and wondered why we haven't got a band out there that makes new music and sounds exactly like Quo. There are bands out there like Greta Van Fleet & Airbourne who sound like Led Zeppelin and AC/DC, and there are many more, but why no band that sounds like Quo? Granted there are tribute bands, but they don't make new music, with the exception of Piledriver, but even they record cover versions, and the closest we've ever come to a new project sounding like Quo, was Ian Hill's solo album from a few years ago. His album is fantastic and sounds like 70's Quo with a modern production, it's a shame he never made another album or put a band together to play the songs live, or maybe he has and I'm just unaware?
