A question for anyone who was at the second night of the Wembley gigs, did Pip play guitar at all during Bye Bye Johnny?
The reason I ask is cos on the recording, Rossi mentions Pip has just walked on stage and I've often wondered why he was on stage if he wasn't playing anything?

Cheers! I did wonder if it was him playing or Rossi playing as he was talking.

I had been at Wembley Arena that night and a surprise to see Pip as Quo didn't bring on guests as a rule. Couldn't remember during which song or songs he had played a bit of guitar. Had it in my mind that he played on Who Gets The Love but possibly wrong as lost in the mists of time.

I was there, it was the night I nearly gave up on them, unusually I was miles from the stage and just couldn't get any enthusiasm for what I was seeing or hearing.
I really tried hard but I just couldn't see any resemblance to what I had first seen at Lewisham Odeon in 1977, I had a special dislike for the drummer, he just wasn't right.
I went again when DRN supported them , I fcuking hated that noise. That was the last straw, left before the end
Didn't go again until 2010 and that was only because they were playing locally.
I never had much time for Wembley.
