Francis spends most of the song smirking ironically and Rick definitely looks like his mind is elsewhere. By an established country artist the song could have gone down quite well with fans.

Richard digance looks like he is on sleeping tablets, and the fake “trying to stifle laughter” trick became incredibly transparent over the years. I remember watching this as a 13 year old lad. Whatever you want later on in the same show redressed the balance.

It's a song I always quite liked. And I tend to agree that, had it been covered by a country artist, it could well have received more respect. But not from Quo fans. This is country music. Everyone knows it's an inferior art form
