Where do I start ?
Well, Status Quo last night were immense .
One of my abiding memories will be during RAOTW and Burning Bridges looking up at the middle tier and seeing folk who would normally be sitting on their feet up and loving it .
The whole place last night had a great time - and that’s the beauty of Quo…..felt like last night everyone was together and as one .
It was fantastic to meet up with various Quo chums again too.
What a top top night .

I can concur with Mr cammythemortonfan . Terrific gig with an audience going nuts from the off. Well, as nuts as the Zimmer frames, walking sticks and extra poundage after decades of chips allows The medley in the middle of the set is a serious test of stamina with various parts of it extended so that we got almost the entire song. Rollin' Home caught me out for a start. Sis was disappointed that Don't Waste My Time had been shunted but she should have expected that at this time of the year. Long set by recent Quo standards (about 1hr 50mins or so I reckoned) and a bit of a challenge for those of us of a certain vintage. Twenty Wild Horses is by no means a firm favourite of mine but it was nice to hear something different. That and Rock 'n' Roll 'n' You seem to be the tracks taken to promote the Best of the Noughties album. In My Chair is and always will be a personal highlight when it's included. One small observation that we were agreeing after the gig is that, for some inexplicable reason, Cut Me Some Slack doesn't seem to, eh, cut it live. It should. It sounds tailor made. But it doesn't. No idea why. Others may have a different view. Anyway, a rather splendid night out that I was less than enthusiastic about before I went. What was I thinking? It's always great And a word of praise for Richie Malone. I thought he was outstanding on the night. No one can replace Rick, and even he says that, but he has become a real powerhouse in this line up 👍 A word in passing about Shaky. He was amusingly entertaining and his later material (and his band) was excellent. He was all over the place at times, forgetting words and songs but he's 74 and lived it. I thought he was OK. Although I doubt I'd have said that in 1981. Times (and people) change

Incidentally, a word of warning for would be completists and collectors because I fell for it. The tour programme is exactly the same as the one I bought at the Liverpool gig in March. The online merch store had it 'sold out' a while back so, of course, I automatically assumed this was a new one. Alas not. Sneaky. Fvckin' bandits

I'm really looking forward to Bournemouth now - only three sleeps time!!!! It will be my first Quo gig since 2018 as I didn't make any of the ones earlier this year, so I can buy the programme without worrying about getting ripped off! I usually buy a polo shirt when I go to gigs - are there any?

I was in Aberdeen the night before, first time at the P&J live arena. Had a fantastic time, thought the band were really tight and on the money. Agree with the comments about auld Shakey a bit all over the place he did have mic issues as well. Only downside was it was all seated- no rock concert should be all seated

No one can replace Rick, and even he says that, but he has become a real powerhouse in this line up 👍 I've seen them a couple of times this tour and I'm so glad you mentioned Richie. At both gigs Andy was ever utterly faultless, Francis was Francis, not quite putting in the effort you'd hope he would but for me Richie and Leon really were the stars of the night and are working so well together as a real rhythm machine. Leon impresses me more with every tour and I've already said for me he's Quo's third best drummer after John and Pete. Some great vocals from Richie too, both lead and backing. This tour with the few new additions to the setlist really encourages me for next year and the possible new studio album.

Only downside was it was all seated- no rock concert should be all seated Maybe it was the seating but thought the crowd were a bit muted for a Quo crowd, but that's apparently the NE of Scotland for you. Never been to a seated Quo gig before so maybe that was something to do with it. I thought some folk near me were going to sleep a few times!

First time I've posted here in such a long time. Hope you're all well.
I said when Parfitt died that was it for me going to see Quo live as it just wouldn't be the same. And I was right it wasn't the same, of course it couldn't be but you know what? I really enjoyed it. I think enough time has passed that I can just enjoy the music now. Except Burning Bridges, it's still a monstrosity :-) but the band were very tight and I've come to appreciate how consistent Quo are in doing what they do. Having seen Deep Purple earlier this year and having to suffer the pain of listening to Gillan trying to sing and previously the attempts by Coverdale then the fact Rossi can still pretty much still do it and you have to give him credit for that. I even dusted off the old air guitar for the classics.
In full disclosure I did get a ticket for nothing so that may have influenced my positivity but I left with a smile on my face and I imagine I'll probably go the next time. Might even buy a ticket.
