Probably going out on a limb here but I thought their reworking of Don't Drive My Car was terrific. And (gulp) I prefer it to the original I always think if you're going to 'reimagine' something, at least do precisely that. Mind you, I found "Allo Allo" funny. Not sure what that says.

I listened very carefully, as you said that only once

I really liked the electric Acquostic arrangement they did in 2017. I was never mad for the original recording which I found a bit of a dirge and when it was done live it was ok for me but I was always probably happier when it wasn’t in the set

Given that this isn't 2002, I am genuinely surprised that a song as apparently contentious as The Oriental should be these days remains a staple in the set. That's notwithstanding how fed up we all are with it. I'm equally surprised they haven't been openly criticised for it. I know Francis mentioned it in an interview when he started mentioning the six or seven songs that in his opinion should always be in the set. That's right, he has it on the same plane as Caroline, WYW or RAOTW. Aside from Aquostic gigs (if they ever do any more), I don't think we'll see them retire the song.

Gr8 to see the terrible awful backing off is dropped but rnrand you back in is a pity imo crappy poppy quo tracks but the rest of the set is different gud to see a few gud changes At least they're not playing "When You Walk in the Room" - Francis said that their version of that is one of the best things Quo ever did

That melody stuck in my mind and is still there from time to time.

Are they putting together a DVD release again in the near future? Quite a few videos have appeared on their official Facebook page recently - In My Chair, Hold You Back, and Twenty Wild Horses from recent gigs.
Have to say, sounding pretty good. The videos are well shot and the sound properly mixed.
TWH in particular - people have said over the years they could do with playing more recent stuff and less of the heritage stuff. Have to say on the basis of TWH, i agree. Still playing and performing with a definite edge.

They’ve posted TWH from the other night on their FB page and it sounds brilliant.
It’s a really good vocal from Francis

I think The Oriental is so blatantly spoofy tongue in cheek and beyond any deeper, much less racist meaning that Quo would be forgiven by even more stern and, uhum, demanding music consumers. The lyrics are hilarious in their Benny Hill locker room dumbness and the track puts a smile on my face whether I hear it at home or at a gig. It's a Francis & Rhino classic. And I love Rossi's delivery of it ... Musically, it has always reminded me of this here which today would likewise be endangered to fall victim to cancel culture, not that Chris Spedding minded much at the time (mind you, at the recommendation of a woman, notably Frau Suzi Quatro, to cover it after she had heard it Downunder on her tour) ... ... though Chris must have been on quaaludes when he recorded it, it had none of the leering panache of the original.

The shots from the side are shot on a phone it looks like. And the way it’s edited together is really simple. So I would say no to a dvd release but it’s really nice that they’re making a bit of effort
