Is anyone else scratching their head wondering why, given it’s 20th anniversary and deluxe edition release , the merchandise folk have just released a Fourth Chord T-shirt and not a Heavy Traffic T-shirt ?
For Heavy Traffic , joined up thinking would have created a buzz around the anniversary of an important album for Quo with the following :
Deluxe cd ( which we are getting ) Vinyl release T-shirt merchandise
It’s wouldn’t have been difficult , surely , to pull everything together with the proper notice required , especially for Vinyl ?

Yeah, I got that e-mail this morning. A reproduction of one of the original ....Fourth Chord tour t-shirts.
The 15-year anniversary of the album is cited as the reason. I get that. But you're right; the 20-year anniversary of a generally perceived more important album in their career with a deluxe release on the way may have been a smarter move.

Hate the design of it. Can't stand the very lazy "lets just chuck the album art on the front" design. Atleast have something that fades / blends into the t-shirt, rather than having a sharp / blocky edge.
So far, the only "archive" merch line that I've actually liked was the 1982 stuff. Everything else just looks cheap, and a quick done job.

I had one on at Milton Keynes (a grey one) and there is an old, faded photo of me at the gig. Somewhere. Think sis has it. But I agree; those t-shirts where they just chuck a square album cover on a black garment are a bit naff. You can get those done yourself for about a fiver. The recent Never Too Late t-shirts are a case in point. The originals were blue to blend in with the front and back of the album sleeve. Too much bother these days obviously. These old Quo fans; they'll buy any old tat Mind you, when you saw the designs of the Pictures, t-shirts in 2008, they're probably right

Can't beat the quality of the 1979 tour T shirt. Beige penguin job? I'm sure it's the one, the quality of the material was the best I ever owned and the print was crystal clear. I wore it in Los Angeles in October 1979 so I know I had it then.

It also referenced the 'Fabulous' in joke they used on stage.

Well... I'm sure they could've done a lot better. The picture used on the black one is from 2004, but whatever 🙄

I'm not keen on the t-shirts. A bit too in yer face for me, but it's all a question of individual taste.
However, I do like the fact they've advertised the deluxe edition of the album. I don't think I've received an e-mail from the merch store that's done that before 👍

The shirts in the official shop for the most part are rubbish, I don't see the point of reprinting a Heavy Traffic shirt with 20th anniversary on it. Just reprint the t-shirt as it was originally printed.
As a bigger gentleman, I was seriously disappointed that the 1+9+8+2 t-shirt with the dates on the back, only went to XXL when I'd need an XXXL, I really love that shirt but wasn't gonna buy a size I can't wear, just cos I like the shirt.
Is there anywhere else to buy Quo shirts/hoodies other than the Quo Shop?
