I do not like that song.
One of those that started the slide for me. Sounded so wrong and out of place in the set list as well.

The quo version isn’t Tom jones though it’s glen Campbell You know what I am in shock, I never knew Glen Campbell even copied it. Which means Quo's version is a copy from a copy, that's weird in itself and quite a bold thing to do. In hindsight it seems to suite Quo best out of the 3 artists.

I wonder whose idea was it to record it, or which version did the band hear first? Glen Campbell's seems to be closest in style, but who was listening to American country music at the time. Oh no, surely not .... Francis?

It's not played live. The vocals are definitly live but the instruments are clearly the albumversion. No guitars are plugged in.
