A news flash has appeared on the tele releasing the terribly sad news that the iconic Judith Durham has just passed. Saw her a number of times and for such a little woman, she had a most powerful and beautiful voice that will forever be timeless. RIP Judith… we’ll never find another you.😢

That really is terribly sad news. I've loved The Seekers music for years and managed to see them live a few times, the last being their farewell gig in London and despite recovering from a stroke Judith still sounded as good as in the 60s. Such a humble lady but one of the all time female vocal greats. The world of music just got a little poorer.

Sad to hear that. She had been one of my birthday picks on the 'Born on this Day' thread, turning 79 on 3rd July. May she rest in peace.

My oldest son's favourite from a lullaby album 30 years ago, I love this song and her singing...part of the family.
Just to report that I played this and the tears are flowing.

She was one of my great childhood loves, a list that includes Milly Small, Muriel Young and Una Stubbs.

Today was the state memorial to Judith Durham which thanks to the internet I was able to see. The wonderful news was that The Seekers had been completing one last song to release for their 60th anniversary later this year.
One more chance to hear that purest of voices, The Seekers final song, Carry Me.
