Will be going to Witney on Friday for what's probably going to be my last ever Quo gig with a member of the FF.

Looking forward to seeing John and his band tonight in Putney. I see that Bob Young was at last night's gig at The Half Moon.

I wish John well but having watched a couple of videos I think it’s the right time to hang up the drum sticks. His timing is all over the shop and he can’t keep a tempo any more. The end of this is about half the speed of the start and the playing ain’t great

The end of this is about half the speed of the start and the playing ain’t great I was at this gig and that is the final encore track. The set was about 90+ mins. I'm sure John was very tired by this point. I'm not saying that he shouldn't retire but those who went to the gig had a good night out saying farewell and wishing John all the best.

Yes, this is pretty much the case now for all those 'heritage' bands now - If we go and see Whitesnake, Aerosmith, Kiss etc. who are into their 70's and some pushing 80, then the expectation is that there isn't a time machine at the entrance that takes you back to the 70's or 80's.....and with that expectation you appreciate a show where the artists show their age. The Stones on tour just now are incredible...Bruce Springsteen is incredible, but they ALL can't do the same shows as in their prime. I know another band who reformed a few years back, can't quite remember their name, did a couple of tours in 2013 and 2014 riddled with mistakes and the effects of old age and poor health, but they were an absolute blast because their audience went for the spectacle, the atmosphere, the dare I say it, nostalgia and just to hear those songs again from the makers of...

I missed the encore, as there was a tube strike that evening in London, so we had to get a taxi back to Liverpool Street (50 minutes) to catch the last train home. As Curious girl mentioned, I also had a good night and looking forward to Minehead in September.

I think at this stage with many heritage bands it’s about the seeing. I’m so glad I got to see the frantic four

In all seriousness, it's been an issue for JC in his later years. Age catches us all. Fantastic drummer back in the day and integral to the old Quo sound 👍

I'm hoping somebody can PLEASE help me here. I can't attend Minehead or Portsmouth unfortunately so the only date I can do out of the remaining 3 left is Friday 16th September at Aldershot. I have booked the day off at work but gone on the website and it's sold out. I only need 1 ticket! If anyone can help it would be really appreciated.
