This finally landed on the doormat in December, written by Richard James. He rates Blue For You as the best. Not a Pip Williams fan either!
Thoughts…??

Don't think I know this book. And I thought I had most of them other than that very expensive Marquee one.
Don't know the author either.
I think all of us see Pip's involvement after 1976 as some sort of watershed moment but the band will have played a large part in the direction the albums were taking, both in sound and in arrangements.

I got it on pre order from Amazon just before Christmas. There’s some interesting takes on different songs and albums. All subjective, I agree re Pip Williams and the band decision. Look out for it, I bought it for myself and my son as he’s Quo mad at just 10 years old and plays a telecaster! www.amazon.co.uk/Status-Quo-Track-Frantic-Years/dp/1789521602
