I remember that from TOTP. I think this might be the only time I've seen or heard it since then. Is it on any DVD? Can't remember. I know we just get a snippet but I love that brief version of Break The Rules. It has real punch. The full song would have been very welcome. And Rhino with a ponytail? Must have been a phase Ta for this

Wasn't this on the BBC DVD? I did wonder that. I thought it might be but I can't remember, although it's easy enough to check.

It was on the Live At The BBC DVD, but that copy came from a TOTP2 rebroadcast that cuts in during The Wanderer due to an introduction. The audio on my upload comes from a ropey uncirculated copy of that session that features The Price Of Love. I would've included more but it really starts to break down before the tape was completely chewed.

Just as a matter of interest, Quoincidence, what is or was "Count Down"? Doesn't ring any bells. Apart from the afternoon quiz show on Channel 4 of course. Presumably it isn't that

Presumably it isn't that It was a popular music show that ran from the late 70s up until the early 90s. Oddly there isn't much about it online, and the bits you do find are brief bits of information nothing too in-depth.

Almost certainly didn't if it was on ITV. It was all very regional back then.

Maybe I'm wrong, but the program is from Australia, and it was exported to the Netherlands...Or maybe it's just a Quoincidence the two programs were about music and share the same name. By the way Quoincidence How much did they played? The full Roadhouse Blues with medley, just the Roadhouse Medley (and If I'm not mistaken, the timings are the same as the edited 4 minute version), the 7 minute "extended" Medley, the Roadhouse Mix, or what did they play.

Remember watching this. My abiding memory was that BTR sounded great, and Rick had clearly dyed his hair platinum Blonde very recently

Wow, a little bit of man crush time, but dosn't Rick look super fit and healthy here, with the long flowing locks. He looks like a real rock God - and he certainly was! Phew!! Ok I'm fine now!
