This one tends to offer up a split camp. As they say. I personally love it. When I first heard it, my first impression was that it wasn't like any other Quo track. It had a unique vibe. But it drives along nicely just the same. It has that "na na na" Kylie bit (I loved that hit of hers) and there are hints at The Beachboys in the backing vocals. Kylie v The Beachboys? Nice mash up that one I've played it a lot over the years. I keep going back to it. And I've just played it again. I never tire of it. It hardly seems credible that it's nearly 2 decades old. This is probably in my top 10 Quo songs even including the 70's. The Parfitt/Edwards writing partnership came up with quite a few gems while fighting against the often (not always) lightweight mediocrity of the Rossi/Frost material. Put it this way, if I saw their names next to a song before I heard it, I was probably more confident I'd like it. Top notch. 10/10

I like the energy of the track but it’s missing something like a good middle eight solo somewhat and the vocals are low in the mix a bit.

I think this is an awful song from the “comeback” era which was largely excellent. it also follows rhinos simplistic, overly repetitive three note melodies that seem to be his trademark at the time, though he has written some good ones later
I’d stick it in the “old men trying too hard” hall of shame along with Driving to glory and lots of other late period Rick tunes.
