This and Soft In The Head. That was it for me on this album. Rude Awakening Time is hardly a classic, especially the somewhat limp verses, but this and the other one stick out like Peter Crouch on Viagra. I think they played it live on the Thirsty Work tour. They did quite a few off the album. Just can't recall which ones - other than Restless (gulp ). There's an irony in there somewhere when you think of much better albums that never really got a look in live. I don't know what it is but I'm not mad keen on the drumming on this. But that's just the arrangement I suppose. It detracts from the whole thing giving it a 'jaunty' feel rather than real drive. Having said all that and analysed the ar$e out of it, it's alright 7/10

Loved it at the time. Looking back its only really the instrumental bits of the song that hit the spot, and I'd include the drumming! Jeff could do slow if that's what was wanted..
Along with one man band, mysteries of the ball, power of rock and not many more, this felt like Quo but new and different.
I was kind of expecting TW to be full of stuff like this. They made a big thing about how they had recorded anniversary waltz, then RTYD. Let's just say TW was disappointing!
