Sung by Swanee on the album, so i've no idea the source of this one, but it sounds like a rough mix.
Great track though, Angels cover.
There's also 2 live versions floating around involving Alan, The Bombers version from the recent "Alan Lancaster's Bombers" live album with Ty Coates on vocals, and a Party Boys download which i think has been mentioned on here recently, with Swanee on vocals.

Cheers👍 I think “Rising Star” the B-Side of Gloria 7” is also with Alan’s lead vocals. These tracks were pre-production recordings produced by Alan and John Brewster and recorded at Earth Media Studios. Small Talk was the B-Side of the CBS 7” and 12” He’s gonna step on you again. On the epic label 7” and 12” was She’s a Mystery.

So i guess the version of "She's A Mystery" that has pitched up on a few Quo bootlegs was this recording.
The version of "Small Talk" i posted doesn't sound like a vinyl rip so i wonder where that one came from.
I checked out discogs.com and it doesn't look like any of these B-sides are available on CD, vinyl only.

I’m still looking for an audio file of the Party Boys live performance on Australian TV show “Blah! Blah! Blah!”at ABC Studios Sydney 11.4.1988. The band played 5 songs live from their successful album. Unfortunately my old DVD copy has died completely… So I hope anybody out there could help!!! Cheers 👍

Yeah - just had a look. I only have four songs though. Gloria, Is This The Way, He's Gonna Step On You and Rising Star - did I miss one before Gloria as Denton comes on at the end. Just after that a clip of the Party Boys doing Gloria on the Midday Show popped up - no Swanee so Nuff did the vocal!
The Life After Quo CD has the She's a Mystery demo and I only have Small Talk on vinyl.

Long since cited as a Quo demo since its inclusion on a "Demos" bootleg CD in the early 90's, and later on an Alan Lancaster bootleg compilation titled "Gaslight Demos". But would have to assume it's definitely a Party Boys recording as mentioned by quolion above. Same instrumentation as the final Party Boys album version which had Swanee on vocals of course, just a different mix i think.

Nuff told the story that this incarnation of the Party Boys was to have had Roger Daltrey as the guest vocalist. That fell away as Roger had a film lined up or similar and Swanee came in quite late. They may have started recording and just added Swanee into those tracks already down.
