A friend of mine is a huge Slade fan and alerted me to this great little chat with FR and Slade/Occasional Flames drummer Don.
The interviewer's Youtube channel also has an interview with Spud and Don from last week.
Enjoy!

Like two old geezers chatting away in a nursing home...... I'm only joking!!!! Enjoyable banter including some interesting bits on the US tours.

thanks for that. We saw pictures of " Bernadette's mother " Liz when Bernardette got married and she still looked mighty fine than. But having "been with" Francis, she must know that his sense of humour is a bit patchy - he doesn't seem to have noticed this, probably nobody tells him.

In a funny sort of way, we all have too much choice in everything now so everything is a bit mundane. (Maybe it's partly the Covid effect.) But I still listen to Radio One just because it is a chart station and it gives me some idea what is out there across the board. But I admit Im lazy though, I don't listen enough. Gabby DJs still an irritation, that hasn't changed since the 60s

Yeah, that was a bit 'too old' for my comfort level. Can't avoid looking old, we are all there, but talking and acting old is something I am hoping I can starve off until the end.

I haven't seen Francis so engaged in a long time and this includes the first new old stuff I've heard in many years. Well worth a listen!

This is a nice chat and Francis seems relaxed whilst recalling early 70's memories.

Already a thread somewhere?? Thanks Dennis and stringybob - I've combined all posts into one thread. Thanks gma for posting the interviews. Welcome to our forum. I've moved your post to an existing thread.

Enjoyed that
Somehow Francis has us believing he's forgotten the 70's. He clearly remembers them very well
