Think they already had a gig on , I seem to remember this being the reason when your question was asked before .

Probably weren't asked. I know there is some bad feelings from Roger towards certain people in Quo's management

'The concert opened with a message from the three remaining members of Queen in tribute to Mercury. The music then commenced with short sets from artists that were influenced by the music of Queen.' Who thinks Quo were influenced by the music of Queen? I can think of a few influences but Queen is not one of them.

I always get my Freddie tribute concert mixed up with my Nelson Mandela tribute concert. No idea why. Just do. They were a few years apart as well. Quo performed at neither And given their sojourn to South Africa in 1986, the latter might have been just a little hypocritical

Something I still haven't really forgiven Quo for. No, it was something that left a bad taste in the mouth. Not only could it have been career suicide, it was embarrassing as a Quo fan trying to justify it to anyone who asked. So I didn't try. When added to the praise for Thatcher (can't recall when) and the snuggling up to the Royal Family (" we're all Royalists" to quote Alan on Pebble Mill at One the day of the Charlie gig) plus the honours list acceptance, they haven't made it easy sometimes Not for us pseudo lefties anyway

Free Willy is probably on to it , I now remember him saying this to me before . It's a strange one. U2 performed via Satellite from one of their gigs in the USA. Spinal Tap too And yet, Quo weren't asked? Despite them being quite friendly with them? More than likely weren't asked. I don't know when Roger's issues with Quo's management started, nor do I know what they are/were but, something must have happened on that Magic Tour imo

What Queen song do we think they could have played?
Did Rick appear onstage with Queen or am I making that up? Quo supported them at one point on the Magic Tour?

It's been posted before that Rick felt hurt by Roger after Live Aid, that he felt he dropped him as Queen were so much bigger now
May of course appeared at Brixton and later finished off Rick's album. So the bands themselves can't have had a full on fallout

Off topic Can anybody tell me why nobody at all has appeared at Rick's tribute concert?? Does Rick really need a tribute concert? Freddie's was an event that was more-so based around the AIDs crisis at the time. Have any other bands held a tribute concert for members that have passed? Def Leppard show footage of Steve prior to Gods Of War at their concerts
