Still a pretty decent live band around this time even if the records were truly shocking Cheers

Haven't seen that in years. Still plenty energy on stage. Lots of running around. But then it was over 30 years ago. I could still run myself My main observation is the prominence of the keyboards in the overall sound. Nothing against keyboards but they do have a tendency to water down the power/drive, certainly with this song. But enjoyable nonetheless.

I did really like that video back in the day, lots of energy.
I also quite liked Parfit's headless guitar, always fancied one of those, but have never got one, least not yet ...

That AI enhanced video is an amazing improvement over the original footage:
Does anyone know if the rest of the concert will appear on YouTube in AI enhanced format? I'd love to see it!

This show to me how poorly edited and shot the FF videos are. I know the band aren’t running around anymore of course but the editing here is so much more energetic and fast.

This show to me how poorly edited and shot the FF videos are. I know the band aren’t running around anymore of course but the editing here is so much more energetic and fast. Most gigs are shot and edited that way these days. Cameras that are constantly slowly panning across the stage / band members. It doesn't help with the fact that Quo don't allow cameramen on stage anymore, so when they have a camera crane it ends up being used to get close up shots - whereas on the Birmingham footage, it's being used to get overhead / looking from behind the band over to the crowd sort of shots. And nowadays, the camera crane tends to be in a fixed position on one side of the stage, whereas at the Birmingham gig (also at the Milton Keynes show) it is constantly moving back and fourth behind the amps.

The crane rig is more or less the same set up on both the FF and the 89. Though the 89 is bigger
There is no dolly track to get the nice kinetic drift on the stage front shots of the FF it’s all hand held which looks more static not to mention cheap.
Same with the camera behind John
And the wide shot from the back of the hall in Dublin really doesn’t get the silhouette of the crowd in the way the 89, RTYD Glasgow and JDI gigs do
All looks a bit bargain basement.
The JDI gig js the best shot Quo dvd
