At least with Quo you have the odd pro shot couple of songs here and there with Pink Floyd there is nothing except a snippet from 1975 at Knebworth but nothing till 80-81. Full length shows which i was trying to point out in my last post. Full length pro-shot shows from both bands in the 70's hardly any exist except Madrid for Quo and Pompeii for Floyd. Both bands have 8mm footage from their various tours with Floyd some great The Wall & Animals 8mm footage has been found and released and remastered

Does the full Madrid gig exist? I didn't think it did. Mind you, who knows what's lurking in some dusty archives. I suppose we'll have to content ourselves with performances on Cannon & Ball, Des O'Connor Tonight or Noel's House Party. Triffik

There is also a clip that was readily available on Youtube and on here of Quo in Holland. I think it was from 1979. I remember the crowd were pretty lively on it. I also remember that Savile clip of the lad from Wembley arena. To say I was jealous of the lad would be a massive understatement. Because he met and played (Dont Waste My Time)with Quo NOT that he met Savile, you understand!

I know most of us have seen it before but I love the 1977 Bingley Hall pro-shot tape. Just look at the crowd around the 12.35 mark. Fantastic atmosphere. The band at the top of their game.

Somehow forgot about that one and the Marquee footage, even though they're both on my channel There's also some footage of the crowd from before the encore of the Bingley gig with them singing You'll Never Walk Alone and a bit of Big Fat Mama

Here is a few splices of Quo on the OGWT, including the 1977 interview. However check out Big Fat Mama from 4.10 onwards were Bob Harris says it was recorded at The Empire Pool, Wembley. If you look towards the end of the track you see Rick is wearing those hideous jeans with the brown patch on the arse, which he also wore at the Pinkpop festival in '74. So was this live BFM track also from '74 and have we seen it before? I don't recall it!
EDIT: I see Quoincidence has it mentioned as Wembley in May 1974. Interesting though and again, new to me!!

In every sense the '75 Madrid show IS the only motherlode we have in viewing Quo playing live in their heyday. But as we know its quality is quite poor, so wouldn't it be fantastic to get director Peter Jackson in and commence a full clean up project, with proper colourisation (like his First World War work), voice synchronisation etc and then present us with a unique finished article for the 60th anniversary celebrations (1962-2022 right)!!! We can but dream! Imagine something like this turning up in 4K for Quo.

It was included on the Bonus Disc with the Party Ain't Over Yet documentary, however, the audio on that copy isn't as great as the version shown on the OGWT back in the 70s.
