Mr Cave has an alter ego. Don't we all? Their album is called Issue#1 and I think this is/was the single from it. Reminds be of something like Blink 182 for some reason. Completely different from his Nova Neon project a few years back. There's also a video for a great track called Heroine Heights but it's 10 minutes long so I've gone for the shorter attention span age-group with this one Nice.

My nephew would probably have enjoyed that in his 'Blink 182' phase!
Quo say Leon is a skilled multi instrumentalist though only ever seen him on drums.

That struck a chord with me actually with the Spanish/classical vibe. I have put the electric guitars down for a time and concentrating on playing around with a classical guitar and Spanish influenced stuff. I may have to nick that guitar riff! Just joking Leon.

The Middlenight Men are a fun band. Their B.A.Baby single is excellent. Wildhearts-ish. I didn't even know Leon was in them until later.

The album is fantastic, a really enjoyable ride from start to finish. Highly recommended. To nitpick, this is Nick Hughes' project, he's been Leon's friend since college and they've been in several bands together over the years. And Leon really lets loose on this album in a way that he hasn't done within the restrictions of Quo. It's on CD or turquoise vinyl from themiddlenightmen.bandcamp.com/releases

Like I say, a million light years from Neon Nova, which I enjoyed immensely. It was modern and, dare I say it, almost urban. But never dull and beautifully crafted. I'll grab hold of this. I'm told there's a similarity to The Wildhearts as well, although I'm fairly ignorant about all things Ginger

To be fair, there are better vocalists than Steven Wilson, so he's not picked something that challenging for singing, but I'm certainly impressed that he's able to do all of it on his own! If anything you have to apologize to Steven Wilson, who wrote that song (yes, THAT SW... mortified & I talked about him every now and then)
