It will be 40 years ago today, that the Quo Army in a fleet of coaches left Euston, London en route to Belgium, to watch the mighty Quo perform a gig at the Forest National Theatre in Brussels, as part of the Never Too Late Tour. The trip was organised by the Daily Mirror Pop Club. The coaches left in a convoy to Dover, where we set sail on the Townsend Thoresen ferry to Calais. The journey was running smoothly until we stopped at a cafe near the French, Belgium boarder, where after more refreshments was taken. As the cafe only had a small toilet area, the need for 9 coaches of people needing a wee at practically the same time became a problem. Just outside the cafe there was a long wall were this wall suddenly became awash of urine. Anyway the French police were called and we weren't allowed to leave until the wall had been disinfected. We arrived at the concert about 15 minutes late and missed the first 3 numbers. After the gig we had time to have a look around Brussels before travelling back overnight reaching London around midday
