Just the album and b-sides That would do me: I'm just interested in the songs from an album and the extra songs or b-sides. All the different mixes, outtakes, first versions and what have you I can easily live without. But in this case I couldn't care less: what's the point in buying the b-sides, when the original material mainly consisted of c-songs?

I think if you'd seen the ideas Quoincidence and I have put together for those albums you might change your mind. Case in point: TPAOY is just a rerun of the tour edition. There are several more live b-sides from the era that are missing.

I only seem to have the original Don't Stop and the 2006 release, which I presume is the Tim Turan remaster, although I can't see anything in the sleeve notes to indicate that. As for The Party Ain't Over Yet, this release seems to duplicate the Australian tour release but without the multimedia content. Not sure I was aware of any 2017 re-issues, although I did pick up coloured vinyl for both a few years back. There doesn't seem to be much point in these releases, as iamcomplaining88 says

There doesn't seem to be much point in these releases, as iamcomplaining88 says I talked to Steve about this in 2017 when they were announced. He told me Demon wanted to do it the cheap way - if it were up to him, these editions would've been better. The way it is, they just replicated the audio of previous editions. (For Under the Influence, they added POMM '99, but that's not a real big addition.)

Plenty of live shows recorded in 1996 - heck, you could've even done a combination of the 2 (of 3 nights) at Wembley Arena. But, Steve is right. Done on the cheap. You can tell from the piss poor scans used for the album art.

I often wonder how decisions are taken with these things because sometimes they seem completely senseless.

I bought all 3 on both CD and Vinyl formats, as I didn't have any physical copies of them at the time. Quo own those albums these days, so I'm assuming that DMG approached Simon with the ideas for these re-issues. With all the content included already having been released across the original albums, singles etc - it won't have been hard / costly to source. You can tell that they must not have sold well the first time around, with them being re-re-issued and now being labelled as Deluxe Editions (when they aren't). The scans for the UTI album are dreadful. I'd need to check DS and TPAOY sleeves, but I don't think they're as bad.

If you're talking about the sleeve with the bent spoon, me & Mrs Mortified provided them with the original leaflet/flyer for that because no one seemed to have the artwork anymore. I can't remember how it came about but someone put the word out on the old official message board. So the scan of that might be mine. But I only had a basic scanner/copier (since replaced); nothing fancy. So blame me for that one Shame they're not deluxe editions in the same vein as all the others. They've been a terrific project with some serious effort going into them. By people who know their stuff

You've intrigued me with that one however! Surprised no-one seems to have that, considering it was done in '98 / '99. I'm assuming it was your scan used on the 2011 remaster released by Fourth Chord? Under The Influence I didn't expect to get a deluxe treatment anyway, with it not being part of the Universal cat. - but, really surprised that Don't Stop, Famous In The Last Century and Party aren't. Polygram TV, Universal Music TV and Sanctuary (all part of the UMG umbrella *obviously) But as I say, Quo must own the rights now to those albums.

Did you also have a hand in writing the execrable 'The Way it Goes'? While reminding myself what was on this album, I don't think I've ever seen Frame play slide guitar before.

I can't remember off the top of my head when that white sleeved digipak release of Under The Influence was, but 2011 seems about right. So this album now has 3 different sleeves, including the one with the denim pocket on the front from, oh, around 2006 maybe? Bit random that one

I've messed up all manner of things in my time But I take no responsibility for any writing credits. Good, bad or indifferent. And quite glad I was never in the official video. Some shopping centre somewhere I think. So that Auntie Jean and her mate from the coffee morning could rock their wrinklies off
