Clearly Dave Hill in the first review was pissed off that Quo were more successful than Slade.

Clearly Dave Hill in the first review was pissed off that Quo were more successful than Slade. There was me thinking those bands were all mates together

i spent a few weeks of newspaper delivering earnings to purchase the tin and got in the shit with my girlfriend for doing so. She forgave me, and 40 yrs on, still together. The LP's look a bit warped now..

I bought the tin for two reasons; 1. the collection (obviously) 2. the NEC gig (even more obviously) I don't think I've ever played the two compilation LP's. Actually, I don't think I've ever played any Quo compilation! I felt a wee bit miffed that I had to pay for a triple album just to get the live one (same as I felt when they gave us 12 Gold Bars Vol II plus the first one! ) but I got over it Hello! was a laugh for a fortnight? He must have got a Jasper Carrot album mis-press Never, ever found Hello! particularly funny. But I have adored it for over 48 years So who did have the last laugh?

I've used to wish that they would re-release it as a 3CD tin set, like an anniversary sort of thing, but I stopped wishing in 2012.

I bought this and discarded it soon after, I had all the songs and the Radio broadcast of the Full NEC.

I bought this and discarded it soon after, I had all the songs and the Radio broadcast of the Full NEC. I didn't buy it until years later, what was the point ? My mate though had the metal tin and yeah, was a bit jeolous! Can't remember what it cost but it was well above what I could have stretched to

To be fair, it was a nice tin

Indeed. And it had an aquostic version of Gerdundula, if I remember rightly. Was so jealous when a friend bought the blue tin one, but at the time I bought (sometimes nicked) SQ cassette tapes.

I remember my brother had this. I can still see it on the floor. Had no idea of the contents. Or the craving I'd have years later to have it.
