On the deluxe of Whatever You Want, Now Hear This is missing a few tracks from the tracklisting that was on the original Vinyl release.
I've been told that it's because the missing tracks weren't remixed and were the same versions as on the Whatever You Want album.
Can anyone confirm that they are the exact same versions and haven't been touched in any way at all?

They are different/remixed. But they aren't as different as the others (but neither are Come Rock With Me/Rockin' On). One obvious notorious difference is the lack of the "yo" shout at the start of Your Smiling Face.

Also Runaway and High Flyer were extended versions (High Flyer contains a longer intro and a end, Runaway contains a few more of drum fills at the end), but to me are the same mixes as the original album. The other songs, to my ears, are the exact same mixes as the original album, but I never compared them back to back.

If I remember correctly, the mixes *are* different - guitars softened out, vocals with more echo, i.e. all that the label thought would be good for the US market.
The deluxe edition leaving off two songs is still totally inexplicable to me. (They also likely ripped it from vinyl...)

If I knew this album existed in 1980 I'd have gobbled it up.
