"metal galvanism" 😮
What a description ! I had no idea metal had been coined as any sort of term as early as 76.
For those of us that kept going, the singing and atmosphere during the long pause were great
Of all the singles ,it's best suited to saturated listening. It's aged brilliantly so it's a classic. When something great is still great at nearly half a century ,it's great. Full stop.
I never liked the song when I was young .Later remember hearing it on planet rock in my mid 20's , being stunned at its class. That mid section where they are really at it..for me that's more powerful than the best of any band I've heard.
There's nothing better than full tilt Quo

Fascinating stuff. All lost on a 19-year old Quo fan who thought she was just a half decent journo

Used to love it but the past few years I have been bored of it and that is simply 'cos I heard it too many times and almost any song gets boring to me if I hear it too often. I'll probably love it again after some time has passed in which I haven't heard it
