44 Years Ago This Month... Status Quo recorded their show at the Sunplaza Hall in Tokyo, Japan. It would later be released by Nippon Phonogram, as Tokyo Quo, with only a handful of songs from the show leaving tracks such as Forty Five Hundred Times, Roadhouse Blues etc on the cutting room floor.

Is the whole gig still in the vaults somewhere or has it been lost?

Is the whole gig still in the vaults somewhere or has it been lost? Well, I could say yes and ruin the surprise of the full gig ever being released, or I could say that it's missing / lost

I never knew it existed until years later. I can't even remember how long after. By which time, it's price had gone through the roof - if you could find one. Originals still cost a bob or two but the recent re-releases have pegged it back a bit. I bought a bootleg vinyl way back, early 80's maybe, called Don't Waste My Time. Transpires it turned out to be Tokyo Quo. But the quality is shocking. It remains unlistenable. Half decent sleeve for a bootleg though. A Japanese Geisha girl on the cover doing some sort of kung-fu thingy. Certainly more professional than the contents
