If you could only listen to one artist for the rest of your life, would it be Quo?
If not, who and why?

It would be Quo. Huge selection to choose from, though I doubt I'd listen to anything from the mid eighties to say HT. π€

It's a no for me. It's a hard choice between Joe Cocker and Dion Dimucci but I'd go for Dion, a true musical revolutionary right back at the start of rock n roll and has reinvented and moved forward with his music for over 60 years, never just resting on his laurels and amazing back catalogue of hits.

No it would be Pink Floyd
I like Quo but the mismatch of good albums and the quality of the later material only limits too listening too the good classic era of Quo. PF have a diverse range of music song lengths live shows too watch and listen too with so many different setlists from their various eras amazing bootleg selection of material too listen too pre darkside

The Radiators (Australian band) all albums be my first choice but that could all change. Because Quo is in my top 5, closely followed by Baltimora Tarzan Boy.

No, it would be the Rolling Stones if I had to listen to only one artist, indoors, to prevent spreading covid via living outside and discussing music with other humans face to face.
Seriously, I cant imagine only having one artist's catalogue to listen to as there is so much wonderful music out there. The Stones full catalogue I love, along with an extensive bootleg collection, and it is so varied with a large amount of true classic records.
Prince would be my second choice; incredible catalogue. His stuff never ceases to amaze.
Quo, like azza2000 above, besides a huge catalogue it would be restricted a lot to 1970-1981 albums for the main part. HT, ISOTFC and QPQ an absolute yes, but mainly it would be FF.

No [not a f@#kin' hope!] It'd be Frank Zappa for me, by a gazillion miles.
He and his bands have covered just about every musical style [ok, ok, I know that's not really possible] , the vast bulk of which he wrote himself, each style/genre to an excellent degree. He writes both rubbish and cutting words/lyrics - the former because he's largely only interested in the music (and said so himself) and the latter, because some topics are just so ridiculous/stupid/ 'open-to-ridicule that they're asking for it! I have longingly wondered how many albums he'd have gotten out of Wally Trump and his bullsh*t.
FZ was socially and politically aware and was active about those things too - right now the US needs him like never before.

Btw, great topic/question tramper π

It would be Quo. I've listened to them more consistently, more regularly than anyone else over the past 50 odd years. I've also enjoyed them more than anyone else, despite the ups and downs.
I like many other artists and styles but Quo's sheer body of work swings it. Probably just above Bowie.
