bluehighway is the resident Demis expert, share the same tailor and wigmaker, blues been wearing a syrup since the late 70's. I haven't worn a kaftan since 1979! And I just inherit Ritchie's cast offs and get whoever the current wife is to set about them with straighteners

Don't the blonde ringlets you have right down your back match with what you have at the front?

Just been watching Colin Johnson's interview from 2011 on YouTube.
I thought the Rossi and Frost's connection with Demis Roussos had been through Dave Mackay but now 99% sure as Colin mentions in the interview that Rossi and MacKay are pals.

He wrote Something bout you Baby I Like for Tom Jones, and A Mess of Blues for Elvis. And God Save The Queen for The Coldstream Guards at Live Aid, live version was first tried out at the NEC in 1982. Here, that's something i've never seen discussed before and maybe worthy of a (short) thread...
Quo actually recorded this, right? For the NEC gig. Is it kicking around? Does Quoincidence know? Could be an interesting little artefact on a future release.

Yes, Quo recorded it, god knows when... unless it was recorded during Soundcheck the day before. Not too sure if an isolated version exists. I have tried to track down these sort of recordings that were heard only on TV, like Johnny B. Goode used on the Hale & Pace Christmas special.

That's be my question for Rossi then - was the Charlie gig a turning point when you became 'establishment' / a national treasure, or were you taking the piss recording the British national anthem (and also, where are the tapes?)...

Rossi wouldn't know He couldn't tell you what tapes he had sat in his home studio for years
