As the veterans of this message board will know that the Hammersmith Odeon, 26th June 1979 show exists. Few people have mentioned the Glasgow '76 shows. Would people buy a full release of all 3 nights? released for the first time, as the actual release is a compilation of audio from all 3 nights. Are you absolutely sure that all three nights were recorded? I know it says so on the cover, but if I remember correctly, Lancaster has denied this. I think he said something along the lines of "It's one night straight through, why would we pay for three nights?" All 3 were definitely recorded. Alan doesn't seem to know much of what he's talking about. He says the band knew nothing about the recording of the Tokyo Quo Live release, when in fact they would, because Japan wanted to release their very own Live album and they would have needed the bands permission to have a full show recorded, professionally

What about the Wembley empire pool stuff we've got from 74,just a few songs Anymore where that came from? That's all. It was a job done quick and not properly in the slightest. They had issues with film reels getting jammed in the cameras. It looks like they salvaged all they could at the time

Hopefully any members that haven't responded will do

The fans know more than they do, especially about album releases etc. But I don't think it's that unusual for fans to know more about a band than, eh, the band. Besides, for decades, Quo in particular didn't know which way was up Incidentally, any idea why the bootleg of Tokyo Quo doing the rounds in the late 70's/early 80's ( Don't Waste My Time?) was so poor sound wise? You'd have thought, given it was professionally recorded, it would have been better than it was. This thread has just sort of reminded me of that. I pretty much stopped bothering with bootlegs after that and the Lyon one from (I think) 1978. They were more or less unlistenable.

Without having access to the 1/4" tapes to cut the vinyl from, there was no chance of it ever sounding decent (Don't Waste My Time Bootleg)

Although, most of us would probably grab most everything available - perhaps only within a set era for some

Hi, My first post on here after being a member on the old original board,
Firstly, what about the 1982 Radio Clyde show being released . A storming show that blows Live at the NEC away.
Would love to have any old shows available, but particularly the tours 77 to 81 that seem to be hard to come by.
A complete Tokyo Quo would be magnificent, as would a Glasgow 76 box set.
For me a live 75 soundboard would be the holy grail as would any early shows from Dog onwards....

Anything previously unreleased from 71-81 is interesting. The format is very important for me though. Vinyl is a must, won't buy a CD.

We could probably have had a lot of archival content a lot quicker with the SQTV planned way back in 2007... but fans weren't keen on the idea 0f subscription fees.
Digitising, remastering and remixing old tapes cost a fair bit and the best way would be with a subscription service to cover costs.
