I knew Graham Bonnet worked with Francis and Rick on his 'Line-Up' album and I've always loved the song Anthony Boy that he did with Rick, but I never knew he recorded Givin' Up My Worryin'. Not a bad version either...:
And here's Anthony Boy:

They recorded 'Anthony Boy' in Rick's home games room+studio. All the band set up in one area together, plenty of over-spill etc.
Quite a line up involved in the album.
Initially they recorded the basic tracks for the single 'Night Games' at Red Bus studios. For some reason, on this occasion, Neil Murray's bass part didn't quite lock with Cozy Powell's drums. They called on Gary Twigg (One Step at A Time live @ St Lukes) to put down the bass track in the end at Rossi's studio.
The first couple of thousand pressings of the single incorrectly credited Francis as the only producer. Further pressings correctly stated Co Producers as being Francis and John Eden.
The heat was on after the success of 'Night Games' to get an album out. Though Francis didn't get involved on the production with the album and John Eden carried on.
Graham Bonnet's vocals were recorded at Skyline studios California.

Love Anthony Boy, but as far as Givin' up my worryin' goes, I prefer the Quo version

Just to get my tuppence worth in, I personally never liked Graham Bonnet's version of the song. The Quo rendition I prefer, although that's saying something because the first time I heard it (i.e on first playing the ....Heat album) I thought to myself "uh oh; this isn't good".
The first time I'd thought that since I become a Quo fan in about 1972. Up until then, I thought they'd been pretty much flawless. So it was my very first experience of a Rossi/Frost composition. All very hit and miss for me from thereon in.
