I went to so many gigs on both tours, to be honest I didn't keep tabs as I was just in total esctasy throughout. Faves were the Hammy only because of the sheer euthoria that erupted. I really felt I was transported back to the old days in so many respects. The music of course and the original band members but it wasn't just that. It was the atmosphere, the vibe, the feeling of being part of an event, not just a show. I haven't experienced that since EOTR. And that's what made it all so special.
I now look back fondly on those two tours as much as I did all the pre 84 tours. It wasn't so much the nostalgia as it felt so fresh and new and tied into one. It was Quo, my Quo, the real Quo, the Quo that set the bar.
Damn it was good. Wonderful, wonderful memories.

I took my son to see them at Wembley after being disappointed in previous gigs over many years and yes the emotion I felt took me back to October13th 1973 at the Rainbow ( 2rows from the front) and he understood probably for the first time all my stories from the 70’s......

People do knock frame for not carrying on indefinitely but I am forever grateful that they did those two tours. I do think it was the right decision to call it s day when they did. I still have the memories and yep, it will never be topped. Kind of drew a line under a large part of my quo fandom and made me reappraise the 72-77 period. I do wish they'd made a few songs together again. It was talked about briefly but came to nothing. Would any material been good enough? Or anywhere near what they produced in their heyday? Would we have been happy with it? Or just disappointed? They say you should leave the table not feeling full. Maybe we should be thankful that we got what we did. We loved it, any extras may have left us feeling - they shouldn't have. Like polishing off the xth yorkshire pudding or that second (large) helping of trifle, and then wishing you hadn't. For our overseas members, maybe they could have done a few shows overseas - but where, or where not? From reports, things behind the scenes weren't quite what we saw on stage. Reports have indicated at disagreements and drinking (or maybe I should reverse that and say drinking and disagreements - one often follows/causes the other).

Awww, the excitement building up to this was amazing! Do you remember on the message board? After Hello Quo was released and then the tour was announced, the anticipation was so wonderful. I remember checking in on the MB that night and following the updates from those there kind enough to think of us! I think Jay did....👍🙂 One of my big regrets was not going to Manchester for that first gig but Hammersmith was magical! I’m so grateful we got the chance to see them all together again on those two tours.

If they had recorded together the old tensions of the sound, the direction, the heaviness of the band would all have surged to the fore again between Alan and Francis. By the time of the second tour it was all falling apart anyway, the old entrenched arguments, the equal pig headedness of two people, Rick's disappointment and utter frustration at Francis's attitude to the FF gigs. We should just be grateful that we got what we thought would never happen. A second chance to see that little bit of magic that four guys created.

I do wish they'd made a few songs together again. It was talked about briefly but came to nothing. Would any material been good enough? YES! Or anywhere near what they produced in their heyday? EVEN BETTER! Would we have been happy with it? YES! Or just disappointed? NO! The above is of course how it played out in my head...... We all know the whys and reasons.....but for a brief moment, Quo shone bright again, and it seemed that just perhaps the band might bow out on a high of a few more tours and some new material. Instead, it was decided to kick the arse out of the brand and we were full steam ahead into Bula Quo and Aquostic. From one of my biggest highs as a fan, straight into utter exasperation at the band, a band where the dismal and under-rehearsed Quofestive tour seemed to represent some sort of creative highpoint to aim for. Anyway, all in the past, and those 2 tours were beyond special.

I went to 4 gigs all at the Hammy over those 2 reunion tours. No words can describe the sheer excitement and passion of the occasion. They were right up there with anything I saw in the 1970s and 1980s. I was right down the front for the Friday and Saturday 2014 gigs. Limbs everywhere. Great times!

I was at the first gig in Manchester and it was just...words fail me to describe what I and all of us in attendance witnessed this evening. Seeing the big Hello! curtain, then hearing the shortened Jackie Lynton introduction and then the curtain dropped and my 4 heroes stood there in Hello! pose. The noise of the audience was unbelieveable at this moment. Never did I hear something like this again, not even at Hammy. The concert itself was brilliant, not knowing what song comes next or the small fuck-ups here and there. Or the bigger ones like Rick and Francis starting Oh Baby after John started Railroad before, only to realise: Shit the drummer was right One of the best concerts I've ever been to - and certainly the most emotional together with the last time in Dublin. All in all I saw them 3 times on that tour: Glasgow on the 10th (incl. Meet&Greet - the best day of my life) and Hammy on the 16th. The following year I did Stuttgart, Hammy twice and Dublin.

There were worrys especially from Francis if new FF stuff would not be good enough and after that came Bula, Aquostic and Backbone that is a good joke.

Ahh, not forgetting the fantastic Stated Quo in the Distillers beforehand and the Piledriver beer in the Wetherspoons pub near the Hammy. Great unforgettable times!
