Out of interest what is the going rate for this at the moment? Anywhere upwards of a pound. Found 3 copies of the AW 12” over the past 5 years and 2 of them have the extended Power Of Rock on the A-side. Got them both in record shops for a quid. You couldn’t give Quo stuff away, one record shop in Belfast actually has about 20 Quo albums shoved in a box under the racks because there’s that much of it, which is great for someone who’s looking at getting Quo albums I suppose.

Do you have the one with the Power of Rock, then? Do you confirm that the Power of Rock is an extended version over the album version?

Nope, just the album version sadly, probably labelled as extended to not cause confusion with the ‘edit’ that appears on the 7”.

Apologies I mean the version with Paper Plane and little lady mispressed in place of Power of Rock Ah as far as I know it’s not worth much, again 12” singles in general were flooding the market by the late 80’s so a lot of them Quo ones are pish easy to come across. I’ve seen many copies of the CGYM, RTYD, Little Dreamer, Not At All, Army, Dreamin’, etc for pennies. I think the rarest thing from that period would probably have to be the uncut Rollin’ Home picture disc (as in not trimmed into the Q shape). That or anything to do with Fakin’ The Blues. Hope that helps!

I've never come across a copy of the Anniversary Waltz that has Paper Plane & Little Lady as the b-side instead of Perfect Remedy & TPORAR, so it must be pretty rare. I'd assume the value of it will be about to plummet with the release of the deluxe editions tomorrow that contain those tracks. For me there is now zero incentive to get a copy of this 12" whereas I'd have loved a copy in previous years to get those tracks.
I do have a copy of the 12" where the photos on the back are wrong as they have two of Rick and none of Jeff Rich, but I've seen that plenty of times, so doubt it is worth much more than a copy with all the correct photos.

Yeah I have a copy. It’s a manufacturing error so I think the value is not in the tracks but the rarity. About 10 years ago it was valued at around £100+ I think.
I also had a copy of faking the blues single on cd but I threw it away in a house clearance ages ago 😬😬

I’m not one for claiming dominance on threads or any of that, but I can guarantee you neither of the mispressings are that rare, nor worth £100. Mispressed 12”s are probably the most common mispressings on the market for the sheer rate they were being pumped out at as well as their variety.

I will respectfully disagree entirely and point you in the direction of popsike as evidence of the values these mispressings can achieve on the very rare occasions they come up for sale. If you've found some cheap on your travels then that's great! Doesn't mean that's all they're worth in the Quo market, it just means the seller didn't have a clue what to check for. No doubt there's some going undetected, but the absolute dearth of correctly-described mispressings coming up for sale would indicate there's far fewer than you're suggesting.

I have a question about the Anniversary Waltz.. Why are they wrongly named? Part 1 is obviously part 2 as they are cut in half in the bridge. Anyone got a clue about this? It's dumb thing, but it's annoying the f.. out of me

I assume the second half of the Anniversary Waltz is so named as part 1 as it was released a single first. Then when they put the other half out, naturally they called it part 2.
Part 2, I think would have done a lot better in the charts had it not already been available on the 12" of part one, a rather stupid decision that.

I think it's the only example in chart history of a Top 20 single being directly lifted from the Top 20 single that preceded it!
