Status Quo did the unthinkable... in order to promote their album, Quo took to playing 4 gigs in a single day with all the proceeds going to charity. After being late on stage for the final 2 gigs, Quo earned their place in the Guinness Book of Records and were presented awards by Norris McWhirter. The record breaking attempt was announced on July 23rd 1991, during a press event at Northolt Aerodrome with Rick and Francis "arriving" by spitfires.

The near miss in the air was actually a nowhere near miss!
A case of DW and SP using anything to guarantee media attention and headlines!

Norris also presented them with the most changed set list of any Quo line up in living Memory Award. Not a lot of people know that !

Had been at Wembley and just remembering a few things now due to the this, especially about them running late and not getting on stage until after 10pm.
Francis was in a bad way with his sore throat by Wembley, but must have had a good gargle before going on!

Francis was in a bad way with his sore throat by Wembley, but must have had a good gargle before going on! as was Rick's by the time they got to the encore. He dropped a bollock massively during Rock and Roll Music... no wonder it was cut from the VHS release. You can tell how knackered the band were by the time they hit Wembley... they still played a blinding gig from what I can hear on the bootleg however!

Is this proof of one of Francis’s famous self pleasuring group sessions?😂

I never noticed that they don't play Caroline in any of the 4 gigs that day! Only on the mimed medley from the morning at the TV. That's strange. They don't played on the first gigs from the Rock 'til You Drop tour IIRC.

I was there in Sheffield.
Jumped barrier and got to front,(am on video) with a mate who’d never seen them before, but hasn’t took the piss since
It was an interesting day, as usual at time everything was played way too fast but was a laugh.
As they came away, they piled into helicopter at side of Arena(Wolfe might remember this), Rick jumped into helicopter and said “Status has just smacked me in the gob”😂. He was referring to the bloke who changed his name. Always makes me laugh
