Seeing that line up again after all these years it comes as a nasty shock just how terrible they were live. I know Jeff and Rhino hadn't bedded in really but already the terrible drumming just ruins an alltime live classic and Rhino was still in absolute pop mode with his basslines. At the time I felt so sorry for Andy having to really up the Hammond fills to cover the sloppiness of the bass. What a massive mistake it was getting rid of Pete Kircher and not holding out for Jim Lea on bass.

What a strange stage, it looks like in line with the audience seats. Also Rick looks bored. Great clip anyway, I like the videos with the sunlight.

Great clip anyway, I like the videos with the sunlight. when Quo started touring again they played some very embarrassing and strange places. 1st gig back was a tennis court in Dubai which was the setting for the Rollin' Home video. They played at Kongeparken twice. 13th May, and 14th June with no gigs in between. I'm not surprised Rick looks bored... Jeff and Rhino look very clueless. Jeff goes to carrying on playing at the same level after Price Of Love. Rhino is to busy pissing around talking to Andy and laughing to realise when he should be bringing it up. Albeit, I have nothing against the 2 of them... I loved Jeff's drumming when he really got into the groove of Quo

A bit like when Bon Scott died, Noddy Holder was rumoured to in the frame to front AC/DC!

Was Jim Lea in the frame to take over on bass ? Cheers Probably an urban myth. A bit like when Bon Scott died, Noddy Holder was rumoured to in the frame to front AC/DC! Jim Lea was indeed asked to play bass in the messy period immediately after Live Aid but out of loyalty to Slade said no, despite Slade being in the death throes. Had things worked out slightly differently timewise it was a distinct possibility he would have accepted. As for ACDC after Bon's death the first choice as replacement was Mark Storace of Swiss rockers Krokus. He was asked, turned it down so Brian was asked and accepted.

I saw Axl with ACDC live and was pleasantly surprised how good he was, in fact far better than recent gigs I've seen him do with GnR.

excellent footage that is shame Rhino ruined it by having a spaz attack near the end

That was genuinely dreadful.
And I say that as someone who actually likes some of the 1986 live material

I was dubious about the choice to replace Brian but proved wrong with some really good performances of the DC classics (from what I saw on video) imo Brian just screams the lyrics which I don’t like whereas I found Axl’s vocals were much more true to DCs sound.

Enjoyed the clip, Rick looked really cool that year. Rhino looks out of place but I just don't see / hear awful or shit. Every gig I went to back then was amazing, very high energy and a total blast. That part of roadhouse then was loose in the middle, generally they were very tight
