Just heard this from the early 70's and the opening riff sounds just like Quo's Proud Mary
I've seen fans make similar comments about Creepin and HYB.
Any others?

Proud Mary is a Credence Water revival song written by Mr John Fogerty.

Francis said they borrowed the riff from Hendrix’s Hey Joe for Pictures Of Matchstick Men, then forwarded the same notes onto opening for Down Down.

I think they borrowed more than the odd riff for Creepin' .

Spinal Tap’s c ‘Gimme Some Money’ is suspiciously similar to the dire ‘Creepin up On You’ we were subjected to in the live Sets for many years

"Commotion" by CCR has the same opening solo as ROLD - well the other way round it is, I know

The Slow Train riff also appeared in something different from the same era. Was it Slade? I don't remember...

Something of Gun's 'Race With The Devil', later recorded by Girlschool, had been incorporated into 4500X.

This might be similar in style but can't think of any Quo song that has similar riff, chord progression or melody. Which one were you thinking of?
