Hey THANKS for these DTIM - really great stuff! Amazing [but not really, when I think about it!] that even though JC's pace has dropped a little, the Real Quo swagger is there in every tune.
I'm still maintaining fingers-crossed here for a decent recording of one of JCQ's gigs - but these'll do just fine in the meantime Great! G
The gig with the Roadhouse Blues clip was filmed , so hopefully they may release that in some shape or form. Just had another listen to a few of them, your right they do have the swagger. More energy and groove than Quo lite ( although I havent seen the current line up post Rick tbf. Definately enjoyed JCQ more than my last Quo lite gig..no comparison really.
Its credited to Rick Chase on You Tube.A bit clunky and the record player is unnecessary. Needs to capture more of the live groove, as that's what they do...very well.
the editing is just bad. A shot of a 7" vinyl at the beginning with 2 seconds of Caroline before it switches track. Awful transitions between songs and the footage... and the only thing you really get from it is that JOHN COGHLAN is in the band and its JOHN COGHLANS QUO. Should really promote future dates or anything else coming up.
The clips dont do the sound justice. Saw the band last year with Rick Chase who is excellent. The present line up must be the best ever. Hopefully they can carry on for another few years. Must get to a gig.
backwater67: Looks like fretbuzzzz has based his sales on BPI sales awards. Back in the 1970s & 80s silver sales were based on minimum 250,000 units sold. (Today silver sales are awarded for 200,000 units)

granny: But @4th Chord regarding your new rule...if the man running the country (Dominic Cummings) can weave a fairy tale around known facts why can't we be just as creative?

juansupposin: 21st September 91 at Wembley, the 45 min Guinness concert, probably not the best concert to start, only 45 min, I remeber thinking they will play longer because it was the last concert

backwater67: Paul Hirch filled in for Quo when Andy’s wife was unable to tour. Aquostic was a complete different project for Quo. I was referring to a standard regular live gig on stage with session guitarists. Jagger does still take the lead vocal.
