Well done Quoincidence - really hot off the press. I didn't quite believe this would be new material until I checked via youtube. These 2 songs were played in Berlin last night 3rd June. I've only heard one Cut Me Some Slack but... 😱 Liberty Lane is a bit better. I say well done for getting new material out there. I don't think they're bad per se. Its simply not Quo but a rock band. Cut Me Some Slack reminds me of Solid Gold for some reason, not the main riff just the overall tempo / structure of the track.
And thank you, but all credit to whoever filmed it I wonder when the new album will be released... Not too keen on them myself currently, but who knows. Cheers Yep that was my first thought as well

It’s funny how we differ- I’m absolutely loving Cut Me Some Slack much more than Liberty Lane.
I live the riff and how it just rocks.
I think it will sound even better hearing it at a gig as opposed to YouTube

The band played two brand new songs from the forthcoming album in Germany last night, according to reports. I’m not sure if they will stay in the set when it is shorter eh whilst supporting Skynyrd. Here’s hoping!! Thanks for your excitement cammythemortonfan and bringing it here. I'm going to merge yours into the first thread and combine thread headings.

Don’t mind the new songs they’re throwaway rock songs but ok ,however what a lazy choice with the rest of the setlist. See Backwater still being murdered too,and the Boriental. Cheers

Cheers Quo are stupid with the setlists... The only tours they have massively experimented with the setlists are the Riffs tour, 4th Chord Tour and the Pictures Exposed tour... 4th Chord Tour was meant to include Roadhouse Blues in the setlist again, and the setlist was only different during Rehearsals, however the other tours were hugely different on the first couple of dates before being reverted back to the same old shite. 1st night of the Pictures Exposed tour they completely dropped all the medleys and played songs in full length, other than WYP which was still a short length version. same goes for the Riffs tour where they played a different set each night for the first 2 weeks, before going to the usual setlist. Cheers

Boring setlist and again songs ruined by Rhino.
The 2 new songs the Slack one sounds okay but a little bit like after FF Quo bye numbers and the lane has ripped off a little bit of Lets Spend The Night Together and sounds for me like a B-Side nothing special. This after a break of nearly 10 years..................... no breaks, no interesting intro ... nothing.

I was at the Tempodrom last night with some old friends and for the first gig after a longish lay off they band were in great form. Both new songs went down really well with the audience. I heard a lot of German fans commenting that at last Quo had written some new songs that sound like Quo. They really got the audience moving and are melodically so catchy they could be a mainstay of future sets. Bodes well for the new album.
Reading the comments on here about them made me smile with all the "borrowed from.." , "sounds like ... mixed with..." etc. Doesn't that just mean that both songs sound like Quo? Surely no bad thing.

If only they were borrowed from decent Status Quo songs. To be fair at this point they are unlikely to write songs I will love. We parted musically along time ago. It’s good they are playing new music. What did they replace ?

Are these Rossi/Young compositions? Rossi mentioned some new songs at the end of his autobiography.

Not always easy to pass judgement on these clips..i still struggle with Quo minus Rick. That aside these tracks were better than I expected and a new album by Francis Rossi and friends under the banner of Status Quo may well be worth checking out.
