Just listening to these, for the first time, I noticed that they are definitely playing to backing tracks as I can hear keys on Liberty Lane... but obviously Andy is playing guitar for some reason...

Well done Quoincidence - really hot off the press. I didn't quite believe this would be new material until I checked via youtube. These 2 songs were played in Berlin last night 3rd June. I've only heard one Cut Me Some Slack but... π± Liberty Lane is a bit better. I say well done for getting new material out there. I don't think they're bad per se. Its simply not Quo but a rock band.

Cut Me Some Slack reminds me of Solid Gold for some reason, not the main riff just the overall tempo / structure of the track. And thank you, but all credit to whoever filmed it I wonder when the new album will be released... Not too keen on them myself currently, but who knows. Cheers

Of the two, Liberty Lane appeals slightly more. All sorts of stuff going on in that one. 60s/70s vibes?
Cut Me Some Slack....reminiscent of Quo's 'Reality Cheque' to my ears.

Unfortunately Quoincidence , the opening riff reminds me of this... And I meant you kept an eye on youtube to find them. I'm not on top of the new tour dates, so hadn't thought to check.

Unfortunately Quoincidence , the opening riff reminds me of this... I'd say it's more similar to "Don't Think It Matters", just sped up

Liberty Lane is better of the 2 That's what I think. CMSS first reminded me of something (thanks CG for flagging up what it is :-) ) and then very much of Reality Cheque, which is one of the songs I like most on QPQ (I might go and spin it again. I've never settled into a good relationship with that album). It's the kind of song Rick did really fabbly, and perhaps why I miss Rick. But they are both serious attempts to get some rock back into the songs. though Liberty Lane is more interesting. They are scoring "medium" on my "what would this sound like on the radio?"-meter. Thanks lots Quoincidence for finding these, the first new Quo music for ages.

New album is dropping in September, and I'm guessing at the Hyde Park gig they will be playing a bunch of tracks from the album live... hopefully, as the setlist still hasn't changed

The band played two brand new songs from the forthcoming album in Germany last night, according to reports. Iβm not sure if they will stay in the set when it is shorter eh whilst supporting Skynyrd.
Hereβs hoping!!
