RED & azza200Do either of you have the Knebworth '90 SD Bluray release? Got my copy today and I have to say the audio is incredible, and much better than their CD release from a few years back. Footage is as good as it will get. Cheers

Cheers cheers mate thank you I did also upload the BBC Broadcast of the Live Alive Quo gig to YouTube, but the video isn't available... possibly due to copyright, but under viewing restrictions apparently there are none, so I'm not entirely sure why it isn't viewable. Cheers

Also isn't the reason why no acts have released their sets from this concert is down the owners Nordoff who own the rights to the concert, i remember when the Live Knebworth release was in the pipeline & that was the reason why it got shelved, could be wrong. Shame as i would love to see an offical of this on DVD/CD release along with Pink Floyd's set. Knebworth 90 also has a brilliant version of Money For Nothing by Dire Strait's that supergroup segment with Clapton & Elton John is really good. Tears for Fears also played amazingly, although they were plagued with some sound issues. I mean, Badman's Song is just wow. That, alongside the mindblowing version of Comfortably Numb, alone justified buying the official double CD, but I really wish TFF, Quo, PF, Collins/Genesis and the EC/DS/EJ sets were available in full... I've got the SD Blu-Ray too, but wish the order was restored to the actual festival order (it basically replicates the VHS 1, 2 and 3). The CD is closer to how the festival actually went but not completely so.

I have heard TFF full set they played a good set in bad weather conditions. Comfortably Numb is amazing, the solo is one of David's best great tone only reason i got the Live Album was for Comfortably Numb. It's strange though the amount of re-issues the concert has had on DVD & Blu-Ray that its is just ripped from the original VHS in order they could at least give some us some extra bonus songs and have the bands in correct running order.
It's also one of the best concerts the UK has ever put on, yet the releases for it have been poor
Tears For Fears

I want to give this post more than one like! I actually posted the four parts here too: tearsforfears.boards.net/thread/72/knebworth-1990Also, imagine my surprise when The Australian Pink Floyd Show last year doubled up the tempo at the end of CN, just like PF did it at Knebworth...

There had been a lot of rain around at the start for Tears For Fears and some later for Pink Floyd's set. I look back now and think how lucky I had been to see those bands on stage. Took things more for granted when I was younger.
Strong breeze all day and it blew the rain over just in time for Quo and suddenly we had sunshine! If you have only ever seen footage of Quo's appearance then it would like it had been a glorious summer's day with no idea that TFF had just been playing in torrential rain.
The folk I had been with that day were not Pink Floyd fans. They were driving, so had no choice but to leave early with them but at least saw PF play a few tracks before heading for the car.
With the passing of time 'Comfortably Numb' has become a special track to me now as my brother had it played as part of his funeral last year.

Did you & your friends miss out on car park chaos, read stories where people were stuck in the car park mud path till the following day. There is audience shot footage of Money which has never been broadcast along with the worst ever version of Great Gig. You were lucky to see that concert one of best line up's ever done in this country for a festival aside from Live Aid.

Didn't know about the car park problems, azza. I guess we were lucky in that respect.
When I saw my brother a couple of months later in 1990, he couldn't get his head around that we had left Floyd's gig well before the end. Not my fault!!
Talking of car parking at Knebworth...we did have a funny time (didn't seem funny at the time!) getting out of Knebworth in 1978. Had seen Genesis, Jefferson Starship, Tom Petty, Brand X and a few other bands.
We were in a massive queue of cars trying to exit the car park. Or so we thought! We hadn't realised that, in the dark, there were no people actually in the cars in front of us. We sat patiently waiting for these cars to move and of course they were going nowhere! Assumed engines turned off as in a slow queue. We eventually realised about an hour later what was happening. We got home about 4am from memory.
We were packed in like sardines at Knebworth '78. Had to sit upright or stand up all day as no room to lay down. Painful after a time. My mate had his wallet nicked as well. Didn't put us off going there the following year in '79 to see Led Zeppelin. Bumped into Jimmy Page in a tea gardens a couple of years ago...very rock n' roll?

A couple of Tears For Fears songs at the beginning, Change and Everybody Wants To Rule The World, and a very memorable advert of Billy Connolly on about some alcoholic free lager. Running order for Quo's set on the TV broadcast; Whatever You Want Dirty Water In The Army Now Rockin' All Over The World
