Yep, had that back in the day. Bought a Nicam stereo VHS recorder and was amazed at being able to see Quo with full on hifi stereo!

These days it's probably possible to see Francis picking his nose (what's left of it) on youtube etc etc.
Strange to look back to the early 80s and remember the thrill of actually recording Quo on video tape. Even though Quo were still big news back then, the opportunities to record them to tape were not exactly frequent.
Have a box full of tapes including the pre-recorded VHS of 'Rockin' through the years' and more besides. Managed to lose or give away a few as well, including the Annie Nightingale interviews VHS and even the fairly rare 'More from the End of the Road'...silly p p p person that I am.

I can even remember taking photos of a live performance of Quo on the telly. Prehistoric, I guess.

Yup! And other favourite bands too. i think I still have some somewhere. Quite good apart from the zigzag lines.
The arrival of home video I had been waiting for all my life - and it was Status Quo in 1982! I loved my VHSs including this one.

My fave video tape ever. I've almost wore out the whole tape for almost 20 years. This tape is my reason to be a fan. I learned to put the TV and the video tape with this with 2 years old (maybe a little earlier!).
My parents noticed early that I have a strange connection to this band that they bought me 2 more tapes (Rock 'til you drop and Live at the N.E.C.).
I still got the tape, but I never played it, I don't want to destroy it.

My first was Live At The NEC - although I always liked Quo music that was the moment I decided to buy up the back catalogue seriously.
Still have that tape in top condition and still have a player that I get out for nostalgia purposes. Every VHS I had I have ripped to DVD but the prized items are still kept safely away.

I think I may do the same thing and find an old/new VHS tape player that I put into hibernation years ago. Due to this thread, when getting the Xmas decs out of the loft I had a quick look around for my boxes of VHS tapes. Still in good nick if a little cold! Quite a few Quo tapes and had forgotten about some others such as an Albert Lee guitar masterclass tape, a similar one from Danny Gatton, some of Stevie Ray Vaughan and some from dear old Morecombe & Wise! I imagine the tapes may benefit from upgraded TV speakers I have now than the basic stuff of the past.
