Hello was released upon the world.
For me it was as a teenager in the summer of 1983 when I’d play this to death.

I got into Quo with Down Down then the album On The Level back in '75. Once hooked started to delve back further into their catalogue and found Hello and this was gold to me.

I must of bought this album 45 years ago today at the local branch of WH Smiths, before giving my ears a treat.

Hello was released upon the world. For me it was as a teenager in the summer of 1983 when I’d play this to death. The first time I heard songs from that album was at my only Quo gig. In fact, that gig was the first time I heard any Quo song other than POMM. Perfect way to be introduce to the FF.

can't top that! (great story) but am I am listening to it now and its still superb. I'm into all sorts of music. Its a massive part of my life but always come back to Quo. The first band that I 'got' and that 'got' me. Best ever!

Not really a comment on the LP, (Perfect as it is btw), but Kursaal's pic reminded me of the early 90's, Quo were playing Brid on the night but also Rick & Fran were doing a book signing (JFTR '93?) in Leeds on the same day. Everyone was told in no uncertain terms that they were to sign the book - and the book only. I sneaked me "Hello" poster in and asked if they could sign it, to which Rick replied "no, we're not allowed" before grabbing it, signing it, telling Fran to sign it as well. Might be irrelevant to most, but it's something I'll always treasure, also remember it was a blinding gig on the night as well, 4500T back in after a long break..

Classic is an overused term for an album. Not in this case!

Got into QUO 76 but heard LIVE before Hello so it was a hard album to live upto, still great though, the studio version of 4500 times is still pretty amazing to listen too.
A part of loving QUO was hearing every note from all 4 , that vanished after BFY

Seems like a long time ago.
Then I realise I am thinking of the ROLD EP in 1975. Which is how I found out about Hello.
It's still a long time ago.
