Hi guys! It seems to have been some time ago that one had the opportunity to share one's musings.
One is pleased to say how excited one is at the prospect of the new studio album release next year. Dare one say it is going to be very well received by the loyal fans but we must always acknowledge that the Quo music has evolved and will not please all of the people. One supposes the will of the Quo people is for the band to make a varied record of country, rock and pop with some up tempo and also balladry. Those who are the proverbial sticks in the mud might be disappointed if they think this is still 1973! It cannot be heavy now!
Francis and John de Bois Guilbert Edwards are the main songwriters now with that Man from Barnes adding the inimitable quirky leftfield songs. Those who have not done so must proceed to the checkout of Rubber Gloves on his solo album. A masterclass in alternative rock that would have been a global smash had it been an REM song.
One hopes that the new material will be given the airtime necessary for its acceptance.
Keep rockin guys! See you out there somewhere soon...

Hey Andy, you forgot what made those posts funny...the accent. I thought it was funny Gaz. There is an accent, more of a Prince Charles one though than our Swiss friend.

I'm getting quite curious about the album and I'm glad they are making it. Replacing Rick with a blond guy called Richie initially made me angry, then greatly underwhelmed and disinterested. And I doubt there's anything to change that....other than them making a good rock album and earning my respect.

I haven’t looked forward to a Status Quo album in decades. I was intrigued by Heavy Traffic but wasn’t looking forward to it.
Can’t imagine I will start now.
